Volunteering

RTW Monson is run entirely by volunteers and without the help of the parents the club would not be able to operate, and our swimmers would not be as successful as they are.

We have a wide range of roles that support the smooth running of the club behind the scenes, including membership services, gala planning and organisation, kit ordering and distribution, finance and billing. You can do as little or as much as you like. Please ask how you can get involved.

Committee positions are elected annuals at our Annual General Meeting in November, as through the year if positions are vacated. Committee meetings are held monthly.

Training to become an official or a team manager is a great way to get involved and support the club at our Open Meets, Club Championships and at away galas we attend.  Both roles require trainees to join online training sessions and then complete mentoring sessions poolside. 

At our meets and galas we will always welcome additional help from the families of competitors for marshalling the swimmers, supporting the tech team, raffle organisation, or preparing and distributing refreshments. Please contact Claire Jones to find out more.

RTW Monson club was established in 1901 and has a long rich history working across communities in Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge and West Sussex. Our range of activities include competitive swimming, swim school and water polo. Today we are Kent's leading swimming club. 

Our hundreds of members join us for fun, fitness and team sport and we are delighted with the many achievements across our club. Our competitive swimming club is consistently ranked as one of top ten teams in the country and we are proud to have many of our top athletes competing and achieving at regional, national and international events.

By sponsoring our fun, friendly and successful club, your business can increase the awareness of your brand and the products and services you offer to our community of swimmers from Kent, East Sussex and South East London, their families and service providers.  Sponsoring our club may help you meet your social impact objectives and establish your business in the wider community.

Why do we need help from sponsors?

We are a non-profit making club so we rely on the support and generosity of sponsors, donors and volunteers for our on-going development and benefit of members.

All funds generated by sponsorship pay will be invested into the club to ensure our swimmers have access to the training facilities and equipment they require, as well as to enrich the experience we offer to RTW Monson swimmers, and athletes from other clubs, at galas and meets. This could include:

• increasing the provision of pool time
• repairs and replacement of equipment (timing pads, backstroke ledges, score board etc)
• trophies and medals
• transportation to team meets
• awards events
• cost of hosted club galas and meets
• training camps

Benefits of sponsorship can include, but are not limited to:

• logo and link from our website homepage
• logo on club banners and other materials at galas and meets
• branded training camps
• provision of complimentary products for swimmers
